The feature—first teased as part of the 5.0/MG hardware update—connects blood biomarkers with 24/7 data
Whoop has officially announced that Advanced Labs, its service that integrates blood biomarker testing directly into the platform, is now live in the United States.
The company indicates that the feature, which has been highly anticipated since its initial tease alongside the launch of Whoop 5.0/MG in May, has amassed a waitlist of over 350,000 members in that time.
When we first analyzed the service in our review, we noted that it had the potential to be a revolutionary step for the platform. With its official launch, it’s now much closer to that reality.
It’s also worth noting that the new Whoop subscription tiers don’t affect the ability to participate in Advanced Labs, nor does it matter whether you own a Whoop 5.0 or Whoop MG.
How ‘Advanced Labs’ works
Advanced Labs gives members two ways to integrate blood test results. The first option is free and allows users to upload pre-existing bloodwork from any lab provider, enabling them to centralize and track their results alongside their 24/7 wearable data.
You can also choose another, more powerful option: a paid subscription that allows you to book a comprehensive, Whoop-curated blood panel directly through the app. Quest Diagnostics powers this service in the US.

Pricing for this service starts at $199 for a single test. Once the results come in, a clinician reviews them and offers expert context and personalized recommendations directly within the app.
Whoop’s AI Coach will then use this new layer of biomarker data to inform its daily guidance on training, recovery, and lifestyle, creating what the company calls a “continuous feedback loop” between your internal biochemistry and your daily habits.
The beginning of a wider trend
This launch is part of a new trend in the wearables industry to go beyond surface-level metrics and provide a more complete picture of health.
Other players in the space, such as Ultrahuman, are also integrating blood tests into their platforms, showing this is rapidly gaining traction as the next major frontier for digital health and wearables. It’s something I’ve chatted at length about with the Indian smart ring brand’s CEO, Mohit Kumar, on PULSE by Wareable.
And while Advanced Labs’ current US-only limitation means it’s not one we can test out just yet, we expect wider expansion over the coming year or so. Stay tuned until then.
