Oura's annual round-up assigns users 'elemental' personalities based on health data
Oura has begun rolling out its annual Year in Review for 2025, offering members a deep dive into their health trends over the last 12 months—and this year, it comes with a new personality twist.
Similar to Spotify Wrapped, Oura is categorizing its users into four elemental personality types—Earth, Water, Fire, or Air—based on their specific sleep, activity, and recovery habits.
- Earth types are defined by resilience and consistency
- Water types prioritized restorative sleep and evening calm
- Fire types were the “daily movement stars” with high activity levels
- Air types had a year noted for restoration and lightness
The report, available now in the Oura App for members with at least 60 days of data, also breaks down monthly trends for Readiness, Sleep, and Activity scores, and presents insights into Cardiovascular Age and stress resilience.
UK leads in strength training, New Zealand wins on sleep
Alongside individual reports, Oura has also released aggregated data revealing global health habits in 2025.
The UK and Northern Ireland emerged as a top global contender for activity, ranking first for overall activity scores (85.19) and favoring strength training as their top workout.

When it comes to rest, however, the Southern Hemisphere took the crown. New Zealand and Australia recorded the highest average sleep scores globally (80 and 79.4, respectively).
The data also highlighted an interesting gender divide in health metrics. Globally, female members scored higher across almost all metrics, logging significantly more sleep (7.24 hours vs 6.8 hours for men) and better Cardiovascular Age scores.

However, women also showed significantly higher stress responses—129 minutes per day of physiological stress, compared to just 97 for men.
The 2025 Year in Review is available now via the ‘Today’ tab in the Oura app.
