The redesign also features a more integrated AI Advisor
Smart ring leader Oura has unveiled a fresh lick of paint for its app that includes a new insight for identifying long-term stress, enhanced cycle insights, and a smarter AI Advisor.
The update follows the recent launch of the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic editions and the Health Panels blood testing service, as well as last week’s $900 million funding injection and updated valuation, further strengthening its position as the industry’s frontrunner.
At first glance, the updated app remains true to the redesign introduced alongside the Oura Ring 4 launch last October, with the Today, Vitals, and My Health tabs still at the core of the experience.
Now, however, as shown above, the backdrop is much more personalized and has a live feel. Not only does the iOS version incorporate Liquid Glass design elements on those three core tabs, but the fonts, colors, and distribution of cards have also been rethought.
Doubling down on stress insights
Away from app aesthetics, stress is once again the focus for the Finnish brand.
Building on its excellent real-time Daytime Stress and Stress Resilience features, the new Cumulative Stress insight offers a weekly updated score that reflects how the body has responded to chronic stress over the past month.

Oura states the new metric analyzes five key contributors—including sleep continuity, heart rate patterns, and temperature regulation—to reveal the toll of sustained strain before it leads to burnout or illness. A new ‘Stress Management’ dashboard also combines existing stress metrics into a single, unified view.
Other improvements include enhanced Cycle Insights, which now offer a 12-month prediction view and faster onboarding (requiring just one night of data, instead of 60).
The AI-powered Oura Advisor now integrates data more effectively from across the app, too, including sleep, activity, and meal timing from Oura Labs.
The Wareable take
This is yet another significant and welcome update that refines the Oura experience and adds a powerful new insight. And though we love ourselves a good app redesign, the introduction of Cumulative Stress is particularly noteworthy here.
In our view, Oura already offered the best stress tracking on the market due to its real-time, accurate-feeling, and contextual data. Adding this longer-term perspective provides users with an even more comprehensive picture of their body’s response to daily pressures.
If it works as advertised, it should enable the identification of the slower burn of chronic strain, making it easier to take proactive steps towards achieving better stress balance.
All in, the updates continue to come thick and fast from the brand this year—a big reason why we’ve argued that subscription-free wearables like Oura aren’t always worse value. And if previous form holds, they might not be done for the year just yet.
