The collaboration is built on the new Connected Calibre E5 and features exclusive New Balance training plans
Luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer has announced a partnership with New Balance, launching a limited edition smartwatch and a matching running shoe.
The collaboration includes the Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E5 40mm x New Balance Edition and the New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Elite v5 running shoe, both designed for dedicated runners.
The partnership comes as part of the launch of Tag Heuer’s new fifth-generation smartwatch, the Connected Calibre E5. In a significant move, the E5 is the first in the series to ditch Google’s Wear OS in favor of Tag Heuer’s own proprietary operating system, which features dual-frequency GPS and an improved battery life estimate of 1.5 days.
The New Balance special edition is based on the smaller 40mm version of the new E5, featuring a lightweight, black DLC-coated Grade 2 titanium case with a sandblasted finish.

The design bursts with a vibrant deep violet hue—inspired by ‘English Purple’, Tag says—that matches the accompanying shoes. An eye-catching, engraved New Balance logo stands out prominently on the caseback.
The watch comes with two straps for added versatility. One is a bi-material rubber and textile strap featuring the innovative ‘Cushion Comfort System,’ and the other is described as a co-branded stretch textile strap designed for workouts.
Smart training plans underpin the hardware
At the core of the collaboration is a deep integration of running expertise into the watch’s new software. The device will come loaded with six exclusive New Balance running plans, ranging from a ‘First 10k Challenge’ to ‘Marathon Mastery’.

These plans sync directly to the watch for phone-free guided workouts, with on-wrist features like ‘Chasing Diamonds’—a visual cue to help runners stay in the correct pace zone.
This deep dive into a specific sport is a familiar and welcome move from Tag Heuer, echoing the brand’s long-standing and highly-regarded focus on its dedicated golf app and features.
If you want to pick up either of these sold-separately, limited-edition drops, they’ll be available to purchase later this month. In terms of pricing, the E5 will set you back 1,950 CHF (approximately $2,400/£1,800), and the shoes cost $270.
