The first reliable detail concerning the company's next-gen ring emerges
An uncovered trademark filing suggests Ultrahuman could be on the cusp of a new smart ring, the Ultrahuman Ring Pro.
The company has previously confirmed that a new ring design is being developed to ensure US customers can continue to access it, following the suspension of Ring Air sales due to its patent dispute with Oura.
However, instead of a redesigned Ring Air, released back in 2023, we may have our first reliable insight into what an all-new ring could entail.
This trademark filing suggests the new device will be called the ‘Ring Pro’ and support contactless payments—a feature we’re yet to see on any major premium smart ring.
In the description, Ultrahuman notes that the ring will feature “downloadable computer software for use in contactless transactions with retailers, merchants, and vendors via mobile and wearable devices.”
Though no other specifics can be gleaned from the filing (other than the fact that it will track health and well-being), the fact that this appears to be a new-generation ring also suggests it will offer an updated design and an improved array of health sensors.
When could the Ultrahuman Ring Pro launch?
Releasing a US-compliant ring is likely a matter of urgency for the brand, and the fact that this trademark was filed many months ago suggests an official announcement could come any time.
However, with the annual launch window now behind us—and the industry’s focus squarely on Black Friday and upcoming holiday sales—any release in 2025 would be curious for the new-gen ring. Instead, CES 2026 in January is a much more likely landing spot for the Ring Pro.
Either way, with the recent upgrades to its ambient monitor, Ultrahuman Home, it’s shaping up as a busy period for the brand. Stay tuned for more as we get it.
